Fil-American netter Treat Huey and Belarusian partner Max Mirnyi bowed to multi-titled American pair Bob and Mike Bryan, 6-4, 3-6, 10-7, in the semifinal of the Barcelona Open BancSabadell in Spain late Saturday.

The second-seeded Bryan brothers, owner of 16 Grand Slam doubles titles, proved too much for Huey and Mirnyi as they used their smarts through long years of playing together to advance to the semis.

Also not lucky was another Fil-Am in Ruben Gonzales as he and American partner Dennis Nevolo yielded to Canada’s Denis Shapovalov and Hungary’s Peter Nagy, 6-2, 6-3, in the final round of the $10,000 Eagle Landing Tennis Classic in Orange Park, Florida.
