The Cebuana Lhuillier age-group tennis championship hopes to discover more talents
as it continues its nationwide circuit this year.
Last month, Lhuillier tennis staged three tournaments for the Visayas-Mindanao legs
and one for the Luzon stage.
The three events attracted more than 200 entries, including 155 in Cebu.
Among the players to watch out for are Angel Santiago who won both 16- and 18-Under
girls’ age groups in Manila; Jan Godfrey Seno who ruled the 16-U and 18-U categories
in Cebu; Zethley Mae Alferez, the 16-U and 18-U winner in Cebu; and Sydney Ezra
Enriquez, the lone double winner (12-U and 14-U) in Bukidnon.
“We are building the future stars of Philippine tennis that’s why we have a sustained
grassroots program,” said Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier.
