MISSION
To be a world-class tennis association guided by the mission of serving, developing
and promoting tennis in the Philippines. The UTP believes in the spirit of volunterism
as the backbone of the association.
As a WORLD CLASS TENNIS ASSOCIATION, our goal is to continuously produce players
who will qualify in the Grand Slam (both juniors and professional)

- Organize training programs for players, trainers and coaches
- Form National Junior Tennis teams to represent the Philippines in international

- Reach out to schools and help in developing tennis programs and inter-school tournaments
CONSISTENT SUPPLY OF WORLD CLASS JUNIOR PLAYERS
- Yearly yield of at least 4 junior players in top 100 ITF world junior ranking (boys
and girls)
- Yearly yield of at least 4 players in top 20 of ATF under 14 (boys and girls)
- Sponsorship of Treat Huey, Ruben Gonzales and Katharina Lehnert, etc.
- Run annual Unified Tennis Open
- Organize and support more national senior tennis open tournaments nationwide throughout
the year
- Build and operate a tennis training facility for national tennis players

CONTINUOUS SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF GRASSROOTS PROGRAM
UTP has supported grassroots tennis programs by former top players Alex Marcial,
Billy deMyer, and Rod Rafel, among others, the Macs Crankit Community Coaches Conference
headed by Coach Patricia Concon-Puzon—which has been a big help in elevating the
skills of local coaches in the last eight years, as well as the Stephan Lhuillier
Pinoy Tennis Trainers program, a free nationwide training program for aspiring tennis
trainers and coaches.

Total of more than 120 tournaments, supported by Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop,
B-Meg, Dunlop, Toby’s Sports and Babolat, among others

Total of 12 Festival Open and Veterans tournaments for community tennis aficionados
and 6 local community tournaments, in partnership with local governments
WTA FUTURE STARS
The Board of Directors were on hand to witness separate victories from Alexandra
Eala for 14 and under; and Tracy Llamas for 16 and under during the recently concluded
WTA Future Stars Cebuana Lhuillier Girls’ Tennis Tournament. Eala and Llamas will
represent the Philippines on the WTA Future Stars tournament to be held in Singapore
